The New Zealand Instructor Course will build on the technical outdoor and leadership skills you already have during this expedition. During the course, you will have opportunities to fine-tune your teaching skills through an in-depth examination of the NOLS curriculum.

 

Only those with the permanent legal right to work in New Zealand are eligible.

Tuition

A NZ$500 equipment deposit is required to confirm a place once offered, refundable on course completion.

Prerequisites

Permanent legal right to work in New Zealand. Current wilderness medicine or remote first aid certification with at least 70 hours of instruction. NOLS NZ will offer a wilderness first responder certification course with significantly subsidized tuition cost immediately preceding the instructor course. Basic adult CPR certificate with 4 hours of instruction. Minimum age is 21 years
