Erick's first adventure experiences were weekend hiking trips along Ontario's Bruce Trail. Those short trips turned into longer ones further and further afield and eventually led to a full-time career in the fields of wilderness therapy and outdoor adventure. Erick has been privileged to work as a guide, instructor and volunteer for schools, outfitters, and NPOs around the world. In 2009, Erick joined the NOLS Instructor Course in the Yukon and has since worked backpacking and canoe courses out of the Yukon and Rocky Mountain branches. When he's not on a NOLS course, Erick works as the Director of Program Operations for Peninsula Outdoor School, an experiential education company headquartered in Nanning, China. He met his wife, Lindsay, while assisting on her whitewater kayaking class.
