Gary McLean

A Paramedic since 1978 and RN since '94, Gary was first introduced to improvised care and wilderness response in the early '80s while working as an ALS medic covering the Mt. Hood NF and ski areas. With a wide range of experience since, from commercial ambulance in busy urban areas to remote sites in Alaska, Gary has worked as an ER nurse and has participated in numerous international EMS training missions, including Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Haiti, and Nepal. Currently living in the hills east of Boise, he is always looking to learn more tricks of the wilderness EMS trade, and for the next opportunity to travel and share what he has learned from others.
