Jamie grew up catching frogs, and prefers rock climbing to elevators and fishing to Whole Foods. An instructor since 2007, he seeks to help others derive inspiration and action from introspection and opportunity. He is a listener, facilitator, teacher, and student. Equally fascinated by the wilderness within and the wilderness of Manhattan he seeks to ask the questions others are afraid to ask, or don’t think to ask. Outside of NOLS, he partners with leaders and teams as a mission-driven consultant. He helps teams to enhance strategic alignment, build leadership capabilities, encourage honest conversations, and deliver sustainable performance. Jamie loves exploring big mountains, dreaming up designs for the world’s perfect mountainside cabin (with wood burning stove), and buying Ian McEwan novels to put on his shelf, then listening to the audiobooks instead.
