Mara has wanted to be a NOLS instructor since she was a kid, and finds that working as a real NOLS instructor is much more rewarding than her childhood games of teaching backpacking and climbing skills to her little brothers and stuffed animals. A graduate of Middlebury College, Mara thinks that the best course outcomes result not just from the challenges on course, but also in the way we relate those challenges back to our other worlds. A hiking and climbing instructor, Mara is excited for her next adventure with you.
