Wyoming is a rock climber’s paradise. With its striking red sandstone cliffs, beautiful desert vistas, and varied climbing routes, this location offers the perfect backdrop for developing your climbing skills. Over eight days, you’ll explore iconic climbing areas, hiking and climbing in a region known for its varied terrain. From the base camp, you'll head out each day to tackle sport climbing routes, learning the technical aspects of climbing while surrounded by the unique beauty of the desert landscape. Expect to encounter sunny skies, rugged cliffs, and awe-inspiring views that will make every climb a memorable experience.
Throughout this course, you'll become a more confident climber and develop the leadership and interpersonal skills to thrive in outdoor adventures. Core skills you’ll focus on include:
Climbing Movement: Enhance your climbing technique for better performance on the rock.
Sport Climbing Techniques: Learn essential climbing skills such as belaying, top-rope climbing, lead belaying, and mock lead climbing.
Safety Skills: Master knot tying, rope handling, and rappelling with a focus on safety.
Base Camping: Build foundational outdoor skills, from camp setup to cooking and Leave No Trace principles.

This course blends technical rock climbing with leadership training in a supportive and dynamic group setting. Here’s what a typical day looks like:
Day 1: Arrive at the base camp, meet your instructors, and settle in. You will then be introduced to key camping skills and group dynamics.
Days 2–6: Climb and explore the surrounding areas. Each day includes climbing techniques, belaying practice, and leadership exercises. You'll spend time at different climbing locations, with daily debriefs to reinforce learning.
Day 7: Practice more advanced techniques and engage in leadership challenges that will push your skills to the next level.
Day 8: Celebrate your accomplishments, reflect on your journey, and receive your course graduation as you prepare to continue your climbing adventures.
