Fall Semester in Baja

On this course, you'll explore the stunning, contrasting environments of the Baja Peninsula on foot, in a sea kayak, and under sail. Along the way, you'll have opportunities for cultural interactions with local students, educators, and ranching and fishing communities.

Flanked by the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Sea of Cortez on the east, the Baja California Peninsula is a land of extremes. You'll learn what it takes to live comfortably in the area's rugged mountains and rich coastlines. Are you ready for the challenge?

What Our Grads Say

“There were the most beautiful, euphoric, accomplished of times, as well as the pivotal hardships moments. In my experience, these highs and lows were the crucial shaping moments that took the trip from just being an amazing memory to it being something that has changed my life and character forever.”

— Madelyn B., NOLS Fall Semester in Baja grad
