Service Expeditions

Combine your passion for the outdoors with your eagerness to serve. On a NOLS service expedition, you’ll work with your team to complete a service project while camping in a remote wilderness area. As you develop your outdoor skills, you’ll contribute to something larger than yourself. Depending on your course, service might look like restoring backcountry trails, building a bridge, or teaching lessons to local schoolchildren. You might gain insight into public lands management, learn how to shore up an eroded trail, or help construct an addition to a rural school. Service takes many forms, but on every course, expect to participate in a meaningful project that benefits other people.
