Trip Leaders

Designed for practicing trip leaders, these fast-paced, weeklong expeditions focus on deepening existing skills to better serve your trip participants.

Outdoor Educators

Designed for current and aspiring outdoor educators. Under the mentorship of expert educators, you will both enhance your outdoor skills and learn to teach them. These extended expeditions focus on expedition and teaching skills, risk management, and building a positive course culture.

Ideal for those who want to teach the Leave No Trace curriculum, which NOLS helped develop for the National Park Service.

Wilderness Safety Training

Risks can’t be eliminated from the wilderness, but you can learn to manage them. In this 2-day classroom course, you’ll learn to plan your adventures with risk management in mind.
