Chris starting working for NOLS in 2009 after leaving active service in the U.S. Coast Guard. He works mountaineering, sailing, hiking, and winter courses. He is also involved in many NOLS Custom Education programs. In 2014 Chris returned to school to study law and education. He is also an officer in the Coast Guard reserves. He dabbles in packrafting, sea kayaking, rock climbing, and running, but these days he is mostly studying for law school.
