Era Aranow

Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician

Era Aranow

Originally from the wilds of urban NY, Era now calls Lander, WY home. After taking her WEMT course in 2008, she rode for the Tarrytown Volunteer Ambulance Corp in the suburbs of New York City. She has taught biology, environmental science and geology in traditional classrooms from the Northeast to the Middle East. Era got her start in outdoor education in the late 90’s. Soon after, she took her first NOLS course and has been working in outdoor education every since. In addition to training leaders and handling logistics for several college programs, she has led trips for NOLS, Outward Bound. When not teaching or leading trips, she can be found fishing in her backyard, cycling, or enjoying the heat of a wood stove after skiing.
