An instructor since 2007, Kary often taps her passion for horses, cameras, llamas, and fishing on NOLS courses in Wyoming. Prone to constant eruptions of energy, Kary says: “I always wanted to become a NOLS instructor because my instructors had such a profound impact on me. I wanted to do that for someone else.”

When not in the mountains, Kary is the manager of NOLS' marketing and word of mouth efforts in Lander. She raises free-range, organic, erudite, and self-actualized chickens too.
