Molly is a NOLS Wilderness Medicine Instructor and Professor of Nursing at Linfield University. She began with NOLS as a cook in the Alaska kitchen where she was known for creating the “beautiful thing of the day” pedestal at the start of the buffet line. NOLS Alaska supported her taking a Baja Coastal Sailing course where she learned to read the wind and the joy of sleeping out under the stars. Taken with the experiential learning style of NOLS, she became a field instructor in ’09 and a wilderness medicine instructor in ‘10. Molly recently completed her PhD in nursing where she studied language and power in contraceptive policy. She lives in Molalla, Oregon in the foothills of the Cascades.
