Sara Hoy comes to NOLS from a background of working in community engagement for housing affordability—and community development-focused nonprofits. However, she first interacted with NOLS in 2020 when she got certified in Wilderness First Aid in college, where she was a backpacking and rock climbing adventure trip coordinator. Although she was born and raised in Iowa (and still has a soft spot for the midwest), she is currently living and playing in Salt Lake City, Utah. Outside of work, Sara can be found climbing, hiking, playing countless games of cribbage, and trying to keep up with a multitude of other hobbies — there's never enough time in a day!
