Originally from the rolling mountains outside Pittsburgh, PA Steven now considers himself a Floridian, and calls Tampa Bay home. Growing up paddling on crystal clear, spring fed rivers with manatees and alligator to SCUBA diving reefs and wrecks Steven is most himself when he is on or in the water. After starting to lead adventure trips for the Outdoor Recreation program at the University of South Florida, where he got a BS and MS in Environmental Science and Policy, Steven took his first NOLS WMI course in 2013. Steven is an avid sea kayaker and paddle boarder, enjoys getting his hands greasy repairing his many road bikes, and would spend too much time playing board games if you let him.
